![]() We have just began College Bound programming for middle school/high school Club members in our new teen center, "The Club."
Project FUN (Fitness, Understanding and Nutrition) is a health and wellness program designed to empower young people to make informed decisions about their physical, mental and social well-being. It is designed to improve Club members' knowledge of healthy habits, good nutrition and physical fitness; increase the number of hours per day they participate in physical activities; and strengthen their ability to interact positively with others and engage in healthy relationships. This program is funded in part by the Tri-City Healthcare District. ![]() CareerLaunch is a career exploration and mentoring program for teens ages 13-18. This program includes the CareerLaunch Web site that allows teens to take an interest survey, explore careers, identify training or college requirements, seek out financial aid and play skills-building games.
Leaders in Training
Through hands-on experiences with helping others in the Club and community, field trips to other service organizations and one-on-one guidance from Club staff, youth prepare for a future role as a human services professional.
![]() The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses the problems of drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.
SMART Girls This program is an outgrowth of the popular and effective SMART Moves program, SMART Girls is a health, fitness, prevention/education and self-esteem enhancement program for girls ages 10-15. The program is designed to encourage healthy attitudes and lifestyles that will enable early adolescent girls to develop to their full potential. |
